ranb40Aluminum Black?
Anyone ever use Casey Birchwood's Aluminum Black for darkening anything made from aluminum? I want to color my aluminum suppressors, but do not want to paint them. Will this product make a reasonably uniform finish? Thanks.

ShopCartRacingAluminum Black only works well when the aluminum is fresh and un-anodized.
When anodizing is put on, there is first a clear coat then the black coating.
It works best when the surface is fresh off a belt sander when it is a little bit hot and has fresh metal exposed.

KurtCIt does a reasonable job of darkening a scratch, but it is not intended for uniform coverage of a large are. Consider having the tubes anodized.
