Local gun shop has one, looks like it has been bead blasted or something on barrel and action (frankly I'd have to look again, didn't think too much of it as I looked so didn't pay too much attention).....has FN commercial action with weaver mounts on top (obviously I haven't looked under them) and new Hogue stock, original .270 JC Higgins barrel. Bolt is polished white steel ? (almost certainly recently done), with safety lever on left, going from roughly 9 to 12 o'clock, off to on. Trigger is crisp but heavy. Local price, not including tax or shipping if you're out of state, is $300. I dunno what this is worth, and have no interest in it. Posting purely for info purposes.
