Synthetic Stock for a Ruger RSM
I would like to get a synthetic stock for a Ruger 458 Lott. Anyone have any suggestions where I can get one?

LJS,
You don't say if yours is a Mk-II, or tang safety. There is a "boat paddle" stock for a long action (I THINK!) MkII available here at a local shop. If that would trip your trigger, gimmee a holler and I'll find out how much it is. Later,,,,,,,,,,,,,Bug.

It's the little things that matter.

Believe LJS is speaking of the Ruger Safari Magnum Deluxe, different rifle than the std. 77 version. True magnum length action, bigger overall with "industrial grade" barrel dimensions. If you do find a synthetic source, look forward to hearing about it and would save the very nice factory ones for appearance sake.

I too would like to know of quality synthetic stocks for my RSMs.

There are those that do, those that dream, and those that only read about it and then post their "expertise" on AR!

I don't have a Ruger but I do have a McMillan stock on my CZ and it is good quality.

Sorry I wasn't more specific. My gun is the RSM model and has killer wood I would like to keep intact.

Have you seen the Knoxx stocks? They arn't as streamlined as a MacMillin but man do they work.I shot a 338 win mag that had barely noticable recoil with the Knoxx stock.I too have a Ruger African, mine is in 375ruger and recoil is noticable,I suspect Knoxx will make stocks for these popular rifles and if you can look past the rear of the stock they do work.www.knoxx.com
