Remington rifle model 600, Mohawk carbine, 222 calibre.

Has anyone using this rifle?
How good is this action compare to M700 and is it good to buy the rifle to accurize it?

Well, I really like mine. Easy to carry, accurate, cheap to load for. I've seen some extreme varmint guns made out of 600's/660's. They are worth accurising, but you won't find as many aftermarket trinkets for these as for a 700. Some parts from the 700 can be used on a 600 (triggers, for example) with a little work. I've owned several Rem Model 600's over the years. All were good guns and about as accurate as their bigger brothers.

The biggest real gripe against them is the small, awkward action. It takes a little getting used to just to load and reload them. And of course the stock and floor plate are cheap.

But mechanically they are good rifles and sure a delight to carry and hunt with.

These are neat little rifles. They are only 1.5 ounces heavier than a Ti action, therefore an excellent platform to build a lightweight hunting rifle on. Use a bansner stock, adl trigger guard and you can end up with a really nice lightweight coming in around 6 pounds. I have a 600 project in the works.
