Like I need a hole in the head.
It's been sitting in the store a while. Not much call for a .223.

Sako, 3 position safety, steel buttplate, gold ring at the muzzle. I love the stock.

I had a standard SAKO rifle in 223 for several years. I shot it so much I wore out the barrel and had Shilen rebarrel it.

It was a great little rifle. My brother has it now.

This one came with a Shilen. Not my smiths first choice in bbls. Long story.

Was a long time ago, smith had a mauser barreled by Shilen, He said you could fit a piece of cardboard btwn the front ring and the bbl.
They told him they always do it that way, they only used the one contact point.

Like I said it might have been when they were still in NY.

That sure is beautiful wood.

Do you know the story behind it?

I take it that it's not the factory configuration.

I had one in tripple duce at one time, shot little tiny holes in a clover leaf. This damn dummy let it go, now had it be stocked like that...Nice!

I assume that by "sitting in the store for a while", you mean longer than the 11 seconds it would take me to rip my back pocket off getting my wallet out?

What a nice little gun. I guess I am not too old to experience lust after all...........

You have a point, Canuck- that's the kind of deal where you almost get home, turn around, drive back, and it just got sold.
