I have seen a number of Model 70 custom jobs that had a nice checkered oval piece of steel welded onto the top of the bolt release. And I suppose it would not be all that hard to make one and have it welded on. But does anybody offer them as a catalog item, such that one could just order one. I definitely do not see them in Brownells.

I simply build up the bolt release then file it to the shape I want and checker it. Not much to it. Regards Bill.

PME, Jim Wisener used to make a big bolt release that was case colored and slightly over sized and easily checkeredd. All of my big bores have them.
