Interarms Whitworth 375 H&H rear express sight placement
A friend of mine has an Interarms 375 that I was able to find a rear island express sight for. But I am not sure of placement. Can someone please tell me the distance from the front of the receiver ring to the rear sight screw on the island rear sight?

Mine is the factory 3 blade screw on. Distance from the front of the ring to the center of the rear hole is 4".

As usual just my $.02

That seems pretty close. I'm putting one on a gun for a customer and the back of the island is 5" from the face of the receiver. That will give him just enough room to clear his scope using a "Butler Creek" flip up.

Sorry that is what the ruler says. I have a 1.5x6 Titan mounted and the rear blade is still 2.5" in front of the front edge of the scope.

Yup, and now for the rest of the story. That looks "pretty close" to being the right spot for that set up. Big Grin Unfortunately the one I am doing, the scope is quite a bit longer and sits further forward, so I have no choice but to move the rear sight down the tube a bit further. At some point he may decide on a smaller optical package but for now, with what's he's presented me, I have to plant the sight where the scope won't crowd the sight. But yours looks fine like it is. thumb
