I have never had any bolt handle work done, I know nothing about it.

Would this be pretty easy or standard for a gunsmith to do or does it require special work? It is harder than any other bolt handle swap? It seems like they will need the whole gun, not just the bolt, to be able to bend it down at the correct angle.

It would be for a CZ550. Is there a special one needed or are most of them generic? Generally what would the cost be to install and blue one?

The Brownells one is closer to the original look and would be my choice. For a proper fit, the smith should have the rifle with mounted scope, not just the bolt.

It is no more work than fitting any other bolt but checkering is more intricate and so is polishing before bluing.

The CZ500 comes with a low bolt handle that has the stock notched for it. If you are keeping the factory stock, the butterknife handle has to be mounted fairly low to fit into the stock notch. The "Butterball" model listed on Brownells will look the best.

If you are replacing the stock, then one of the flatter models can be bent over the wood, like the original Brno's.
