G'Day Fella's,

Thanks also for posting that Von Gruff!

Good to see Rigby back where they belong!
I've been dealing with Marc Newton over the past year. This was when he was with Roberts/W.J.Jeffery....
Nice young bloke and I believe a good man to have in this position at Rigby's!!!

Looking forward to seeing what comes out of this London Gun Makers shop in the near future!

Is this the Rigby owned by Blaser/Mauser?

They are going to start building their own M98 actions now instead of outsourcing. I suspect a fair number will come out with the Rigby name on them. Can't wait!

G'Day Fella's,

Austin Hunter, yes that is correct!
The name Rigby and the manufacturing rights were recently purchased by Blaser!

And yes again, apparently Blaser are currently building a new manufacturing facility in Germany, that will produce New Mauser 98 type actions etc!!!

Hope that helps

Just a question: Do FZH, Prectl and the other Mauser copies work under license from Mauser for copying the design? Or are there subtle differences in comparison to a Mauser-labelled action that allow them the freedom to manufacture. Just curious??

Someone might own the trade mark rights to the Rigby and Mauser names but the M98 Mauser design has long since passed into the public domain. The design is more than 100 years old so there are no manufacturing rights to own ....
