<9.3x62>express sights
I've got a #3 pac-nor barrel on a 1952 model 70 action with warne QR rings and bases in 9.3x62. I'm looking for some express sights and I need some recommendations. Thanks.

free_minerI'm building a 375 on a pre-64 right now and am using the NECG classic rear base and the necg front barrel band with a brass sourdough.
I have them mocked up on another pre-64 right now and they look good and can be easily seen over top of talley bases
I paid around $76 for the rear base and front and rear blades and $52 for the front bbl band

vapodogGet a Brownell's catalog and see what they have....The NECG stuff is very nice and looks great but certainly isn't necessary. Williams and Marble make some fine sights too.....and consider that some of these need to be soldered on and this usually means rebluing the barreled action..... spendy spendy....
Installing iron sights of any kind is surprisingly spendy but the ones that are just screwed on and done are the least cost if that's an issue. A dakota quarter rib with London express leaf sights and a Talley barrel band and NECG banded front sight installed and reblued could run $650 or so.....

TC1I really like the NEGC stuff. The banded front sight is about as classy as it gets.
Keep mind though, if you use a set up like this you might have cut and recrown the barrel or stretch the band to make it fit.
The NEGC rear express sights are nice very too. They are going to be a pain in the butt also. These have a windage adj. but you have to file them to regulate the elevation. When this rifle is finished (if ever), I see a full day of shooting and filing in my future.

<9.3x62>Sorry, I should have been more clear - this rifle is in the works. The barrel is not yet cut to length nor has it been blued. Now is the time to do all this for sure.
I, too, really like the banded front sight - very classy looking. Also going to add a barrel band...
Nice piece of English you got there Terry...

Tex21TC1,
I just thought I'd add that that's a really nice looking rifle you've got there. Good luck on finishing it!
