Rem BDL stock to Mountain Rifle stock?
Would a Rem BDL LA 270W fit a Rem Mountain Rifle LA stock except that I need to open up the barrel channel a skosh or two to fit and free-float?

What's the differences in the two stocks primarly, all I know is that it surely looks better than the bowling pin finish of the BDL... rotflmo

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

My only concern would be that opening the barrel channel would leave little wood on the edges of the channel.
