vapodogI just bought three more Dakotas and they installed like a dream.....
The product seems to be quite good at times and quite impossible at times.....
I used to be

on them,.......then I went

on them.....right now all I can say is you takes your chances with a Dakota!!!
Ithink they're the best looking of the bunch...
but the frustration of installation at times can drive one up a tree!!!

Marc_StokeldI prefer the Dakota for Mausers because I like the shape of their shroud the best.

fyjI haven’t used or installed one, but Timan’s shrouds are the most “Mauser†looking in my opinion, and I believe he will make them in right or left side operation for you.
I have Ed LaPour‘s Mauser and Springfield models and they are the Gold Standard for safeties as far as I’m concerned.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

CSCI picked the german made Recknagel 3-p safety.
My gunsmith had it in stock and the quality of the german stuff is GOOD.
In three weeks I´ll see what it looks like.
I also had him to put on a 1" red Pachmayr Decelerator pad on the rifle.
