30-06 barrel to 300 Dakota?

I have a takeoff 30-06 barrel, standard contour from a Sako M-85, is it possible/advisable to rechamber it to 300 Dakota?

While the rear of the case would clean up If you look at Steve's Pages the 06 shows a neck of .3397 and the 300Dakota .338 If those number are correct depending on chamber and reamers you might have a hint of a line on the neck. I would think it would be easy to remove it with a neck reamer if needed.
