Old Elk HunterDumb question
I tried to put a Remington m722 into a m700 stock
and the action was too big in diameter. I don't have a m700 to measure. Is the 722 actually a few
thousandths bigger?

eddieharrenI have done this many times and never had a problem. Have you altered the stock to accept the 722 safety lever? I shoot a 722 action in a McMillan stock that had been bedded for my old 700. The action sat right down in the old actions footprint.

butchlocwell of course it is - it is 22 bigger
see 722 minus 700 equals 22
Sorry about that I'm having another one of them days

Old Elk HunterButchbloc,
I nominate you to be the gunbearer for an archery
hunter. You got your math wrong.
7 +2 +2 = 11
7 +0 +0 = 7
The difference is 4 not 22.
