Adjusting the Kimber 8400 trigger
I have a new Kimber 8400 Montana. The manual does not have instructions on how to adjust the trigger of course.

What screws adjust what? Looks a lot like the Remmington 700 trigger.

They are basically like the Remington 700 trigger but have better springs. I forget if the front screws are the same top or bottom but the rear screw is the sear engagement just like a Remmy. Easy to adjust just be sure you leave enough sear to be safe.....................Dj

Do a search for the parts list. It describes the screws and names them. Their names say what they do.

I went over the 8400's trigger again last week. I never did get all the creep out of it last year. Its finally gone.

I cut a very narrow strip of 400 paper and folded it double so that it had the abrasive on both sides and then, after adjusting the sear for full engagement, I put some force on the bolt with an elastic band and worked the paper back and forth between the sear surfaces. Then I cleaned it and put some moly powder back on the sears.

Its easy to do.

And its all right here

Thanks guys.

I feel no creep at all in mine but I do like my pull a little lighter.
