Sight Suggestions
Guys, help me fix this. I bought this nice Whitworth but would like to change this sight because, well, I can't see the teensy, tiny brass bead on it very well.

I am happy with the three leaf set up but can't really see this brass pin point very well over them (getting old). I am looking for suggestions.

I am also looking for scope base and ring ideas.

Lay it on me.

If it's a 1/16" bead, you could replace it with a 3/32" bead. You could also try a Marble's heavy post or "sourdough" blade. Either from Brownell's or MidwayUSA.

I use Warne bases and detachable rings on one of my Whitworths, Talleys are good too, so are Leupolds.

Will all the bases you mentioned fit the pre-drilled and tapped Mark X as well?

Thanks,

Yes sir, choose MarkX or FN bases.

You might consider one of the many fiber optic front sights available. N.E.C.G. makes several nice Hi-vis front sights for their universal screw on front ramp.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Not very traditional, but I put a fiber optic front bead on my fiance's rifle. It really shows up against any background.

Try the williams firesight. I put one of these on my Marlin Guide rifle and loved it from day one.

Thanks guys!

I do believe I am leaning towards the fiber optic bead. I like the one on my shotgun real well.
