Customstox.375/338 Win mag?
Has anyone ever chambered a rifle for one of those. I have a bunch of reamers and I was sorting through trying to determine which ones to sell. This looks promising. I also have a .358/.378 Weatherby, that looks like a round that they should have produced.
Also while I am looking at these, what is a 6.5/06 HEF ? I understand the 6.5/06 part but not the HEF.

ramrod340Chic,
I believe a 375-338 would be the same as the 375 Chatfield-Taylor. Can't help you on the HEF

Atkinson338/375 is a std. 375 Chatfield-taylor...I have built up several of them and they are a great little caliber as is its counterpart the 416 Taylor (same 338 Win. case)....The .416 has a fair following....but I prefer a 375 H&H and a 416 Rem as they are available across the counter...
I'd keep the reamer as it will do both the 375 and 416 Taylors...

systeme98The .416 Taylor has a 36 degree shoulder about .080" further down the spout than the.338 which has a 25 degree shoulder. Not really enough to cause great increases in velocity with the increased capacity. If memory still serves the .375 Taylor also used a 36 degree shoulder and had a very short neck. What Ray was no doubt thinking when he mentioned a 2 fer off 1 reamer would be to run a .416 neck into a chamber cut by a .375 /.338 using a pilot of diameter suitable for the .416 barrel. I got talked into using that set-up-.338 reamer with sleeve on pilot to do a .375, Then I ran a standard .375 reamer in to cut neck and a special throater for a lead bullet nut and it was in 1:16 twist. This led to making about 7 more and just after the .338 hit the gun stores. It was and is a great round for a meat hunter. Gee, Chick, You'd prolly be the only kid in the shadow of Mission ridge what could cut one - might be oughta keep it.
