cmfic1Which bottom metal?
I am soon to be taking delivery on a Jim Borden "Timberline" action (Rem 700 foot print). It will have a Pac-Nor bbl., a Bansner Hi-Tech stock, & will be chambered for .280 A.I.
As this action doesnt come with bottom metal, I was wondering what you guys/gals would recommend?. I need it to be "BDL" style with a hinged floor plate.
Thanx in advance

Wayne Elmercmfic1,
Congrats on your upcoming acquisition. Williams bottom metal would be my choice. Here is a
link.
I have used their bottom metal, and it is quality stuff. I have not used their new in-the-bow release type metal, but that is surely what I will use the next time I need bottom metal.
Good luck with your project,
Wayne E.

MasteriflemanI second the Williams. It's not that much more expensive than Remington factory parts (available from Brownell's) and it looks a lot better, not to mention that it all steel.
