Congrats to all who voted...
Just watching the news, with confirmation of Senate and House take-over by the Republican party. I am certain that hunters and shooters who support the 2nd amendment were a big contributor to this victory.

To those who voted today, two thumbs up!

Todd

I think you are right about the shooting vote.

The pro-gun vote absolutely kept RFK's daughter out of the governor's mansion in Maryland.

Of 24 candidates endorsed by the NRA, 21 were voted in.

I hope those 21 remember who put them there.

Lest they forget, we should be certain to remind them...

I can't believe it happened but it did. Erlich is our first republican governor elected since 1966. That means there hasn't been one since before I was born. This could be a start of a good thing. Another good local sign was that the republican running for mayor in the district of corruption got 35% of the vote there. She was predicted to only get 10%. Yes, this could be a start of a good thing. Now we have to hope that Glendening doesnt do a Clinton before he leaves in January. So what happened to New Jersey? Lautenburg's only real issue it seemed was banning semi-automatics. Does that include any semi-auto?

Gentlemen the CANCER is still there! The DUMB ASS democrats still do not see or do not want to face the FACT that their liberal platform is not the preferred choice of millions of Americans! The democratic party had long ago forgotten the common man to do the bidding for the hollywood elitist & their socialist ideas! They are crying that "we just wern't allowed to get our message out, or we did'nt campain hard enough. The reason these parasites lost is because THE MAJORITY OF AMERICAN VOTERS FINALLY STOOD UP AND WERE COUNTER!

We DUMPED that FAKE Ms Carnahan... like the HCI slime that she is. Her husband treated state workers like slave labor. He was a liberal and so was she. Hope she never gets even a dog catcher's job in DC. Sorry for the loud words and subtle meanings. I feel better already. AAAHHHHH. [Razz] [Razz] [Razz]

I still remember her acceptance speach two years ago. The ONLY thing I heard her say that I liked was that she would not run for re-election....

I'm glad she's out!

While I'm encouraged by the nationwide results, here in Illinois we took a beating. The Dems will now control both houses and the governorship for the first time in 30 years. The governor-elect is the political whelp of Mayor Daley ,who is very anti-gun. Rumors have it that he wants to increase owners fees to $500 ( think I paid $7 to renew a few years back).

The only hope is that the Dem. Speaker of the House and the Dem. governor-elect dislike each other and the former may take any opportunity to shove it up the gov's arse on highly visible legislation. We can only pray.

SHE SAID SHE WOULD NOT RUN AGAIN FOR RE-ELECTION.

Carnahan started right out of the gate with bullshit in her teeth. Did we expect any less from her?

I work with a Democrat who is always comparing Bush to Hiltler. Now I just say "tax cut" when I pass him in the hall.* Saying those words makes Democrats feel helpless when Republicans have a majority in both houses and the presidency.

Makes them think about all kinds of things the Republicans are going to do.

H. C.

*(I started off by saying "we're gonna get a tax cut, and the Democrats can't do a damned thing about it." He got red in the face and walked away without saying anything. [Big Grin] )

You might be able to get a rise out of him by ALWAYS using FDR and Hitler in the same sentence. FDR (passively) cooperated with Hitler's murder of millions of Jews. Both were national socialists, although some might claim that FDR was an international socialist.

Just a suggestion.

It may be a victory for the Republicans, but I doubt it is a victory for us. Politicians have short memories and little gratitude.

Remember when we were promised the repeal of the "assault weapons" bill?

This is all great for our country, BUT!!! we've got a leftist socialistic bedwetter as Govenour in our state now due to our last worthless Republican that backpeddled on most of what he said he would do, and surprise, HE LIED!!! Well the people of our great state decided that they would elect a democrat#%!*&^? to office just to show the republicans that they could do it. She is only the second woman to be elected into this office in our state, I have no problem with this, except that she is going to drag us even further back in time than we already are (no concealed carry) and she believes big time in big government ideals.

Now is the time to help them remember who put them there and why we voted for them while they are still fresh. No more excusses, no more bullshit, lets roll with all due respect.

If you don't vote, don't bitch. Voting is the best argument that you can make.

What? Your "guy" didn't win? Suck it up and write, call, and email the one who did. Make your voice count. Australia and England both lost their firearms owning rights because the firearms owners all believed that "it can't happen here". When they realized that it could, it was too late. We will not always have someone in office that supports our sport, so we need to make our thoughts and numbers known.

The tag line I use say's it all.

Regards,

Eric
