DavidCReto Buehler - pre war Rigby custom
Was having a look at the fantastic rifles Reto Buehler builds and noticed he has a new rifle on display.
It's custom built .375 H&H following in the lines of the pre-war classic Rigby bolt rifles. I loved looking at it and thought you might enjoy it as well.

Austin HunterBeautiful.
When collecting, remember it needs to meet one of the following criteria:
1. You drive it
2. You can drink it
3. You can shoot it

HarrisWhat a beauty. I am a sucker for English style stocks.

shootawaynot bad-comes close but still needs work
Oh tell us how you would improve on Reto's rifle? I think Mr. Buehler's work speaks for itself....Very, Very nice stuff and subtle too. He knows how to build a rifle in the classic style, wonderfully executed and with a refined sense of style.

DavidCI love that rifle. The barrel taper and overal treatment is particularly good.
Any changes would be personal preference NOT corrections.
Wish he had more & larger photos available.
Take Care,
Dave

Michael RobinsonThanks, David.
Classic English rifles, like the Rigby and this Buehler, seem to me as though they're
alive.
They remind me of greyhounds, lean and rangy, and always ready to jump and bark.
Great work by Buehler.

DoublessGorgeous work, but methinks that rifle is going to kick the snot out of you... The stock has the same drop in it that was common back during the time the Rigbys were built.
I had an an '03-A3 with a Hal Hartley stock cut that way years ago: kickingest darned thing I have ever owned. Gorgeous rifle, but it recoiled down into the shoulder when fired instead of straight back.
