Need Information on a New Type Bore Brush
I have always stayed with the phospher bronze brushes and went to store to get some today and found that they had bore brushed by Hoppes, but they were not phospher bronze. They were a brush called " Tydex Brushes" I have never heard of these. I took one and felt it and it feels like the phospher bronze but it supposedly has memory bristles that return it to its original shape. Can you tell me if this will hurt my bore in anyway and if you have heard much about them? Thanks

Whitey

I looked on Hoppe's website and it looks to me like a bronze brush with the very tip of it being nylon bristle.

How the hell is having a half nylon - half bronze brush going to give you better cleaning power than a regular bronze brush?

Sounds like snake oil to me.

It's Tynex and it is nothing but a glorified nylon ..I would only use it with extremely strong bore cleaners like CR-10 or Sweets. For other then heavy copper buildup use a regular bronze brush

Stick with phosphor-bronze on a brass core with a looped tip, like those available from Pro-Shot at PO Box 763 in Taylorville, IL 62568. Ask for Item Number 30R-D; 12 in a pack.
