I'm having a Model 600, .243 Win., re-barreled with a Remington #2 Contour. I'm trying to figure out if I'll have to open up the barrel channel to make it fit.

Anybody know offhand?

Never mind, I guess. The barrel and action arrived at my door a few minutes ago and I immediately tried to drop it in my stock. No go!

Got to get the dremel tool out and get to work. The problem seems to be the shank, but it could be the entire channel length needs to be opened up. I'll know more after I grind a while.
