54JNollLooks like my flintlock just might be a good shooter too
Well I finally took my recently completed flintlock out and fired a couple rounds through her just to get an idea of how she might do and to have some fun as well. I have not started any real load development yet. The following shots were fired at 25 yards and mesure 1" between centers. The right hole was a .530 round ball pushed by 40 grains of 2F black powder and the left hole was the same size ball but pushed by 50 grains of 2F Goex Black Powder.
The thrid shot blew up a water jug at the request of my 6 year old son. To which he declared, "Whao dad, that really rocks". I was too buisy trying to stare through all the smoke to see the effect though.
Time to get serious and develop a good load now.

Boy! That's a BEAUTIFUL rifle! I'm sure it will shoot as great as it looks! Did you build it yourself?? If so, you do great work!

54JNollYep built her myself and drew the design and carved her myself too.
