Montana?? on Savage 210F slug gun
It is my understanding that this gun is built on the model 110 rifle. If that is the case shouldn't the replacement triggers available for the 110 work in this gun also.
Does anyone know, I have 4 on the way for a hunt in ILL. this fall. I am wanting to make them as accurate as possible.

<HBH>I dont know much about the 110, but I think this is a larger action. I have had a 210 for several years, use it as a backup in Iowa and other shotgun/muzzleloader only states. The trigger on mine is fine as is I have not put a scale on it but I would bet handy 3#. You may want to wait and see.
The 210 I have will shoot Fed. 2 3/4" with the Barnes bullet and the Lightfield about 2 1/2" for 3 shot groups at 100yrds, but not to same point of impact. I have shot many groups that 2 cut. The biggest problem I have with the 210 is feeding, it leaves a lot to be desired in that department, but once you get them in the barrel it will shoot right up there with the best.
I should add that I have not tryed 3" slugs and that may help the feeding. Exjection is iffy with low rings, as the front edge of the shell casing will contact the bottom of the scope, and try and fall back on top of follower.
I have no complaint with accuracy, in I would go so far as say you would need to go to a TarHut to improve in that department.

MontanaThanks for the reply,
I was planning on the wait and see on the trigger but a friend just replaced one in his 110 and it is night & day.
Thanks for the heads up on ejection and other things.
We should have the guns by next week and hope to be able to test soon.
Remington has a new slug that uses corelokt bullets at 1900fps but want to try them all.
Thanks again,
Wayne
