Remington barrel contours
Hi all - just wondering if you could help me with a wee question.

I have a Remington model 600 action that I am going to place into a Bansers High Tech stock and rebarrel. Not a real serious build just want to build a second rifle as a loaner etc. My question is - I know that the remmys all have the same thread dimensions so any remington barrel should fit. I noticed that gun parts corp have a ton of remington barrels for around $65.00 so that's a potential cheap way into a barrel. What contour were the 600's - light like the 7's or a more standard 700 countour but just short? Thinking about a 22" .308 but they also have 20" available as well which I assume are off 7's. Which would be a better fit ie - easier inlet for the High Tech stock?

Many thanks for your time,

Cheers....

I do not have a confirmed answer for you about fit.

However I have hunted with several 18 and 20" bbled Mod 7's in 308 and they shot very well.
