Dr. LouSauer 202 barrels
I am looking for Sauer 202 barrels in the metric chamberings, especially one in 9.3x62. Also the matte finish is preferred. Thanks, Lou

Fish30114Lou, good luck, I look for Sauer 202 barrels often, and there is simply not a good source for them. I would buy 6 or 8 if there were.
Let me know if you find a source--Good Luck!

huntingcatI've made several Sauer 200 and 202 barrels from Shilen and Pac-Nor blanks. There seem to be no strength problems as they are all still working today. The secret is good reverse engineering of the locking area and VERY careful machine work.

interestedOn BlaserPro.com a bulk "order" is being put together for Sauer barrels and magazines. Two options are being explored:
1. Immediate purchase out of Germany at a somewhat higher price (but much less than SauerUSA);
2. Fall delivery at a lower price through an established US importer (not Sauer).
If you are interested go to BlaserPro (you will have to register) and look on the Buy/Sell board, about 10 msgs down.
That msg is just a solication of interest, but pricing obviously depends on quantity. Interested parties will be PMed through BlasePro once the pricing is finalized for the 2 options above. Thereafter a firm order will be placed for all those sending funds.
The "order" is beng submitted for pricing purposes this week and won't be repeated since several parties want their merchanise ASAP out of Germany even if the price is higher. If memory serves, Fall delivery pricing on a 458 Lott barrel was around $800, and magazines for all calibers were in the $85-150 range, bigger calibers being more expensive (but half the price one sees on the gun brokerage sites).
