Sierra_DaveParker_hale 308 barrel
Hi,
I am having one of the Parker-hale 308 target barrels from Sarco put on an old vz24 action and my smith is having a problem getting his reemer to cut.
I thought these barrels were short-chambered and NOT chrome lined.
I think it may just be a problem with the pilot bushing being a tad wide. I seem to recall a post that the pilot had to be polished or downsized for these barrels.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave

N E 450 No2This does not answer your question, but a friend of mine had a Parker Hale Sniper Rifle in 308. It shot very good.
I got three of them at 3/$100 from Sarco out of a Shotgun News article before they showed up in the Sarco adds or at Numerich.
I think I got the rejects at a discount.
They have flakes of steel missing in the throat area and the threads are beat up [could be from shipping].
I thought I would put them on VZ24's, but that is not going to happen.
I am going to turn one into a long Tokarev pistol barrel in 7.62x25mm. I hope it machines and welds well.

Sierra_DaveOkay,
I got this squared away. Not Chrome-lined. BTW, my barrel was rough on the outside, but pristine inside. Thanks for the replys.
