Shawn MasseyDouble rifle from a Winchester model 21?
I would like to have a 450/400 made out of an old Winchester model 21 that I have. Who would be interested and capable of doing this?

EmorySuggest you talk to Kirk Merrington in Kerrville, TX. After an earlier project he did for me as well as seeing his shop and some of his work, I talked to him about adding 303 or 7x57R barrels to an RBL 28. It's certainly feasible, but there is more to the effort than just fitting the barrels. His phone number is on his website.
JJ at Champlins in Enid. OK is an obvious other possible source.

Emory

p dog shooterUnless the 21 is a old beater sell it and use the money to buy a good double. 21's are worth a bit that and the money spent on converting it well buy you a ncie double.

Magnum Hunter1P dog has it. I'd rather have the Model 21 as is. If you don't need it sell it and buy a double. You will come out better in the long run.

Shawn MasseyI am a great fan of the 21 and have owned quite a few. I would just like to have a double on the 21 frame. I will check with JJ and Kirk.
Has anyone had any experience with the guy that makes double out of german shotguns and sells them on gunbroker? He goes by moniot and his name is Jason, that's all I nkow so far. The pics of his work looks nice.
Thanks!

MasteriflemanWinchester built ONE Model 21 as a double in .405 Win. They used to have it on display in New Haven but, I didn't see it in Cody. I have no idea where it is today. Other than the fact in can be done, I agree with the others in leaving the 21 as a shotgun and buying an inexpensive (relatively) Chapuis or Merkel.
