Can anyone tell me how much pressure this action can take in 45/70,say in relation to a No.1 ruger,
as I can work up tp the velocity required by english law in a No.1 Ruger,could the same be done in a Sharps actioned rifle?

Pedersoli pressure tests the barrels to +30% hotter than the hottest factory loaded cartridge. Does that answer your question?

The Sharps action by Pederesoli should be treated like a 45,000 psi action. It *will* hold much more but it will wreck the accuracy and peen the breech-block rails.
