Easy way to temporary convert S&W X Frame revolver to SA only?
Is there any easy way how to temporary convert S&W X Frame revolver to SA only?

Because of friends like to shoot my 500 S&W, but I have to load only single cartridge to cylinder because of unwanted and dangerous double taps may occur (and occurred) with cylinder fully loaded.

Just remove double action sear? Is it really that simple?

Jiri, Czeck republic? We will be coming there later this summer. River cruise from Paris to Prague and then on to Poland.

Seems to be too simple, but why not load just load one round in the cylinder?

Advance the chamber used each shot.

Don't limit your challenges . . .

Because I am, as I wrote, doing it exactly this way. And it is boring.

There is no river from Paris to Prague ;-)

BTW in the summer, I will be on Oregon. But it depends on exact dates.

I would teach the shooters proper trigger control. The recoil is making them panic and pull the trigger again. I have fired the 500.

Load three.
Load one, skip one, load one, skip one etc.
