Don't you mean a 90 degree cone???? Actually I use a 98 degree cone, same as the M70 Win. Jerry

Actually, "I" didn't mean anything...I just copied the specs off the diagram in the de Hass book.

I'm not a machinist , but how would a 90 degree cutter cut a "cone" shape?

I just grabbed an old Enfield barrel and measured the angle on the cone and it is at 45 degrees to the side of the threaded shank. What am I missing here? I'm not being a "smart-ass" I only want to understand the terminology you are using.
