Are they really more useful than a beam type torque wrench? Is the 49.99 price justified?

Just convenience.
Any inch pound torque wrench will do. as long as it's low enough in range.

Well, a lot of guys like a "broad in the beam type" situation- that's all I can offer without a pic and a breakdown of what that fifty bucks includes.

I have one and it works pretty well. Don't know how accurate it is, though.

Wow, saw the title and was thinking "as opposed to a skinny wench?" completely misread this one. I've always found the thicker wenches to be a bit more practical Big Grin

I don't have the foggiest idea what the initials F.A.T. signify especially when associated with a young girl which is what a wEnch is. I don't even know what they signify when associated with a wRench. The whole topic is not understandable to this dumb Mississippi boy. I DO know what torque wrenches are ,have used them and have several of various ranges and styles but no F.A.T.'s that I am aware of. Enlighten me. I do have a Wheeler FAT wrench with out the periods.
