Burris 1.75-5x32 Safari
I looked at one tonight with German #4 rect and it was a great little scope. Since my shots are all under 350 yards....what do you guys think of this scope?

I have one with the #2 post & crosshair reticle. The scope has a generous eye relief. I have more scopes than rifles and haven't mounted it to anything yet, but I have been very pleased with other Burris scopes in the past.

I have a burris 3x9 with the German #4 on a 30-06. I like that reticle better than the German # 1 on my Leupold 1.75x6. I would have bought the Burris 1.75x5 rather than the 3x9 but could not find one with #4 reticle. Burris is a good scope.

Hello Guys

I had a scope with this reticle some years ago, and it lost me quite a bit of game, I was very familar with the standard cross reticle of the "30-30" type. I found that for the sort of snap shooting that we tend to do in the bush here, the post and fine cross caused me to shoot high on game - the post seemed to drift up into the target. It was fine from a bench where you are taking "considered" shots, but as soon as I was relying on a more reflex based style problems began. Just my 2 cents worth.

Cheers - Foster

The single post and crosshair is excellent for those of us that came of age using iron sights in the military. It keeps thing nice and simple, just with a little magnification.
