bobvthunterInstalling interchangable chokes
Does anyone know of an outfit that can retrofit older fixed choke shotguns with interchangable choke tubes? I swear I saw something about this on a TV show. As I remember the implication was that it can be a touchy job, but I can't remember the details of the work or the mention of who might have performed the job in this case. I am thinking of buying an older gun with a fixed choke(s), but would like the versatility of interchangable chokes. Any information appreciated...
Thanks,
Bob

Quarter RoundCheck the Briley web site
http://www.briley.com/ or Seminole
http://www.seminolegun.com/index.html Some older guns will have thin barrels and require a different installation process called thin wall. Anyway check these sites and you should find the information you need. The tv program probably featured Briley.

Wisner's IncIt all depends on the thickness of the barrel walls.
Tru Choke offer both thinwall and a standard size chokes.
Many gunsmiths offer this brand.
Birley also offers chokes for thinwall, as well as many others.
