Does anyone know how the butt plate on this rifle is fastend on. Its a 2 piece affair-rubber on plastic with no visible screws. I have to shorten the stock on one of these and don't really want to cut through any metal

Can't see where it is screwed on. Mine looks like they used some sort of adhesive. You can easily contact the US importer and have him find out.

M1Tankeryou have to look very carefully but you will find 2 small slits in the rubber where the screws go through. But the pad is also epoxied on. I ran into this issue on my 527 when I re-finished the stock.

GreystoneHey Thanks M1 Tanker. I found the slits. I don't suppose you could tell me what kind of head the screws have. Dave

Most pads have phillips head screws.
