The barrell is fully floated with ample clearance, even when hot.

Have had several rifles with bedding blocks and friends who've had a number more. Bed the action! Some of those bedding blocks are good, a few are horrendous. Bedding only improves a basically good situation.

Sounds like it's time to try another proven scope....A loose erector tube might do just what you are describing. Grant.
