larry millerNeed a screw for a Buehler scope mount
I need the screw that squeezes the base together around the rings. Would any one have one? I tried to measure the pitch but my gauge only goes to 30 threads per inch. If I know the pitch I will try to make one on my lathe.

Duane Wiebe (CG&R)Pretty certain it's a 6-40 x .750 Filister Head (Overall length)...If you can get a hex or torx, you'd be making life easier ...Might try MSC Those screws did not have full length threads, sionce the screw body acrted as a cam
Brownells sells all manner of scope base and ring screws. 6-40, 6-48, 8-40, and others. They have slotted, Allen, and torx heads. No need to make such a thing.

Recoil RobNot really still in business but Maynard Buehler's former business partner was selling off old stock for years, not sure if he still is.
Also older Weatherby mounts are Buehlers.
