Difference in reamers
What is the difference in a revolver cylinder reamer and a reamer for a rifle barrel other than one obviously being for a cylinder and the other being for a barrel.

Revolver reamers have no provision for cutting a throat or a lead in the chamber.

Yes and the pilots are a different diameter. For the utmost in revolver accuracy you should line bore the chambers from the barrel end, but in production, it is not done that way.

Thanks DocEd.
dpcd, I suspected that.

Can I cut a 357x44 B&D chamber in a rifle barrel with the cylinder reamer and cut the throat separately? The cylinder reamer has removable pilots.
