Is there a more rugged trigger for the FN SC model 70? I think the FN SC trigger is great for all but heavy use in harsh and dangerous places like Alaska/BC and Africa. Has anyone come out with a simple rugged trigger in the league of the original Model 70 or Military Mauser for these guns? Thanks

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

Thanks. I'll have a look at it.

I put a Timmney on the M70 FWT I got last year. A better pull than the original, but I strongly prefer the contour of the Winchester trigger. If I'm to keep this rifle, I need to look into re-springing the OEM trigger and make it acceptable.

I'm not looking to improve on the MOA triggers pull. I like the MOA for the most part. I'm looking for something simple and absolutely reliable in all conditions, like the Mauser and original Model 70 triggers. Imagine the kind of trigger that a thoughtful Alaskan guide might want for his backup rifle.

That certainly is an option. I like the overall build quality and consistency of the new ones, over the classics. Not as much of a fan of the original pre-64, but I do like them.
