phill pittmanold style front sling stud
I am gathering parts for a project and need an old style front sling stud. The barrel band kind with the big hole to accept the hook type sling ala Rigby, H&H etc. Anybody have one or know where I can get one? Diameter doesn't matter, I can make it fit.

AtkinsonPhill,
Thinking back on the many I have had on English rifles, I don't ever recall that swivel having a barrel band..They had a thin flat base, lightly curved and were silver soldered on. It would be easy enough to copy one. Same installation on a double rifle except the base was a one inch long tapered on both ends and soldered on the rib or integral...

phill pittmanYo Ray and Von gruff,
The type I referring to is pictured in a thread in the Custom rifle forum. The subject is titled" Help me decide, my first 300 H&H".
About halfway down Boomstick has provided photo of a vintage 300H&H with this type of barrel band stud. I had one on 275 Rigby takedown. Could be made with a regular barrel band and an added on hole in that style I guess.I just thought maybe some one might have one kicking around in their spare parts drawer. I already have an old butt stock stud.
