ozhunterrecknagel 404 mag box
Recknagel of Germany have two factory made 404 magazine boxes.
It is advertised that one holds three rounds and the other holds four.
Would the three round mag also allow a forth in the chamber or is three as advertised the total?

AllenBoselyozhunter,
I don't know if this helps or not but Sunny-Hill can make their drop box (#440) with the correct
dimensions for the 404 and it holds 4 in the box plus one in the chamber.
They also offer the #440R which is a drop box bottom metal with a Rigby style floor plate. The #440R is not on their web site yet.
I'm not sure if it will increase the magazine capacity to five or if it would still be four even with the Rigby floor plate & drop box
combination or not. I sent Andy at Sunny-Hill an e-mail today asking that very question today actually as I am probably going that route myself.
If you are interested in a Sonny-Hill bottom metal, anyone with a FFL or a C&R FFL can get the FFL discount. I will be getting my C&R FFL
shortly. If you wanted one I could purchese one at the FFL price and pass it on to you for the same price and ship it to you. Just cover
the actual cost of the bottom metal and shipping.
I am not affiliated with Sunny-Hill or a dealer, but if you wanted one and I could save you some $ I would be glad to help.
Allen

ozhunterThanks for the info and offer Allen,
I will keep this in mind but at this time i'm trying to keep the 404 set up with Recknagel products.
I would be happy to be able to fit a total of four rounds in this rifle as not to make it awkward or heavy to carry.
regards,
Adam
