Making a 6.5 Japanese feed .243
Received a sporter in today that has no mods with original follower. Looks like it needs widening in the feed ramp and forward rails. Anybody been there done that with recommendations? I've got a Rem 700 SA .308 follower and spring. Right now the round jams into the feed ramp feeding up.

TIA,

Bob

If it is not rising enough, early enough, have to mill out the feed rails to allow the non tapered case to rise more. And make sure the rails are wide enough to steer the round into the hole. The chamber. Use a ball end mill. And a carbide burr.
