King Barrels
Anybody heard or got any info on King Rifle Barrels? Found a rifle(.35 whelan) that supposedly has a King SS barrel on it.

Thanks

Bevan King is a barrel maker that lives in N.E. B.C., Pouce Coupe to be more exact. I think he is basically retired at this time as he wanted to pursue some other interests. I have two of his barrels on 35 Whelen rifles. One stainless and one chrome-moly. Both are 5 groove barrels, 1/14 button rifled. They are good barrels, both shoot under an inch dependably using heavy cast bullets at 2000 and slightly better with jacketed. I believe Bevan learned the barrel making trade from P.O. Ackley although he was a Finning/Cat mechanic most of his working days. His barrels have a good reputation here as hunting rifle barrels. I don't know if the bench rest types found them suitable or not.
