Cocking Piece peep sights...
there was a post here a couple months ago about a guy in the SE part of the country that was making cocking piece peep sights. I forgot his contact information. Can somebody help out here?

Rich:

I believe it is the poster on Ar that goes by "Rusty Marlin". In Virginia IIRC.

Try a search for his name.

Rusty Marlin is correct.

I have one of his sights on my 500 Jeffery.

I'm going to have him regulate the sights for me once I get a final load worked up.

WOW! that's an old pic of the prototype.

Here are some photos of the much improved rev2.

How much does your sight weigh?
Thanks

416 grains, plus or minus. I've only weighed one.

That's pretty slick. How does it mount to the cocking piece? Do you supply the mount or does the smith that installs it fab that up?

Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Its dovetailed directly into the cocking piece.
The size is a nominal .290 dia x 60 deg, which corresponds to a Brownells stocked cutter.
