257 RockRifle Checkering
I'm having a rifle stock built for my son. The company that is making the stock doen't hand checker their stocks they send them out. I'm thinking that I will have them send the rifle back without checkering and find someone to do this for me. So who would you suggest I try. This will be a plain four panel job nothing fancy. I have looked on the Internet without much luck. I would like to know who has done work for you that you were happy with. Going on two years with this project hope to get shooting sometime before spring.

Dago Redthat looks like the rocket pattern from kennedy's book, but with skip line. I always thought that was so cool and perfect for someting like a 264winmag or 220 swift, someting hot and sexy.

CustomstoxPat Taylor, Canby Oregon, 503-266 -3684. Pat was the head checkerer at Kimber when they were in business in Oregon and taught all the ladies who checkered there, including Sherry Abrams. She also taught the ladies at Dakota. Very good and very fast. She gave me some lessons and taught me a thing or 300 about using an electric checkering tool.

Anybody that knows enough to actually be giving Chic lessons MUST be good!
