GSSPReaming to larger caliber
Best bud took possession of his deceased father's 22-250. He'd like something a skootch bigger. Something around a 250 Sav, 6-6.5x47, etc yet use the same barrel.
I believe it will be cheaper to simply ream out the current .224" bore to 6mm or 25 cal and clean up the chamber without having to set back the barrel; destroying the wood to metal fit in the barrel channel.
Am I off? Is this possible? Who would do a good job?
Thanks,
Alan

SmallCalDefinitely possible, if the new cartridge will fully clean up the chamber. Going to have a 30-06 rebored to a 9.3x62 this winter.
Two that I know that do the work:
Dan Pederson - cutrifle.com
Delta Gunshop/Clearwater Reboring - Deltagunshop.com
Heard very good things about both.
