KevinNY7-08 to 358Win.
I have a 700 ADL in 7-o8 with the ugly plastic factory stock, shoots good though. I was thinking that an average weight sporter in 358 Win. with a laminate stock would be just about perfect for Bushveld hunting with a 2-7x scope which I already have. Same bolt face too. Would a douglas preturned and chambered barrel installed by a good gunsmith set me back much over 300 bucks? I would have him adjust the trigger and bed the stock at the same time for additional $. Any other things that might pop up with this conversion?

wooferyou might want to consider a rebore. $100 or so if you send him the barrel only. cliff labounty. very nice guy. you should call and ask him how much if you ship the barreled action. i have seen quite a few short laminate stocks on ebay and such. should be a great gun. enjoy....
do a search for cliff labounty. i dont have his number handy.

Bob257I had Shilen rebarrel a 308 Winchester 70 to 358. It was a stainless barrel. The cost was closer to $500 because they squared the action, rechambered etc. The rifle shoots great though!
