thumbhole stock
Who makes a good sporter type thumbhole stock, that can be cut to fit a Sako short action.
I have seen some the Elkridge models that look nice enough, though somewhere on AR I read to stay away from them...

Any suggestions?

Harry Lawson Rifle Company is the company to deal with.
Look near the bottom of the page on this list of topics. There's one with the same title as yours.

I've used Western Gunstocks, out of California and was very happy with their T-holes.

Friends have used multiple Elk Ridge laminates without complaint............

I'll put in my standard pitch for Wenig. You can see their website at www.wenig.com The other thread mentioned has the Microfit link as well. I tend to think it all depends on what materials you want...grade of wood, etc.
