A friend got a rifle and asked me to identify for him. Here´s a few pics :



The marks are almost dissapearing, on top of the receiver there´s a stamped crest, but it´s dissapearing too. Here´s whats left from the marks :

I think it´s a 98k action, large ring , brazillian or colobian contract.

The barrel measures aprox. 21-22 inches , and the caliber I THINK it´s the 7X57 mauser.

The sights are adjustable for 1400 meters. 100, 200, 300, etc...

If you guys could help me, I´ll be very thankfull. I need to know everything I can about this gun, the contract, the action.

The intention is to make a custom rifle with the action.
