Lyman now has out a version of it's receiver/peep sight for the Winchester 86. I have heard that it will also fit the Winchester 95. I contacted Lyman and the said, they had heard the same, but they have not tried it, and won't say it will or won't. Does anybody have experience with this sight on a Winchester 95? I have a Browning 95 in 30-40 and would like to put a receiver sight on it.

Williams lists the same receiver sight for both the '86 and the '95, so I have to assume that the Lyman for the '86 will work on the '95 as well. If you want to spend more money ($150.00), Buffalo Arms has a reproduction of the Lyman Model 38 listed, that will be available this summer. The Lyman 38 and Lyman 21 were the original sights used on Model 1895's. I have been told that the difference is that the 38 had a knob for windage adjustment, rather than the slide found on the 21.
